From the beginning of our search for our first ES in 2015, we really liked the looks and temperament of the dogs we had heard and seen, bred by Greg & Julia Downs of Under the Rainbow English Shepherds. We had talked with owners who had acquired their ES from them and had just heard a lot of good about their dogs. Sadly, Julia passed away of cancer in 2018, and we weren’t able to acquire a dog from her wonderful male, Quigley. Although we like long tails ourselves, we’ve always liked Quigley and were so pleased to bring home his granddaughter, linebred on him (also his 3rd great-grandaughter) Mia, in 2022.
